Kolkata, a glorious, celebrated and historically enriched place, is our world. We, its proud denizens at some point or the other, are responsible for it. How many of us actually feel and think the same? We all know the answer and Purono Kolkatar Golpo bears testimony to this.
Our 14000 plus followers are proof that wherever we are , whichever existential struggles we go through, and howsoever, we fare in them, Kolkata binds us as the most potent glue. And hence, we are so proud to shoulder the responsibility of upholding the glorious history of our ‘city of joy’ and restore its architectural heritage.
This movement of ours, partnered by all of us, is the perfect platform for anyone who loves Kolkata, irrespective of their caste, creed and sex.
Purono Kolkatar Golpo as a mission and a movement needs to evolve and mature now. The social media interaction and sharing must graduate to a more organized, active and impactful vehicle to drive change. The cause that we all so passionately believe in, of restoring the lost glory, and forgotten history of our beloved city, before handing it to our future generation.
Today, on this joyous day of the year 2016 we are taking a baby step towards our goal by announcing the launch of our very own blog Purono Kolkatar Golpo. It’s overwhelming but not unexpected to see how each and every member has contributed to make this blog come alive.
It is an honor to interact and mingle with people who love Kolkata which equal vigor and passion than we do.
We all feel and say proudly: “All is not lost; the unconquerable will......And courage” to resurrect the glory of Kolkata.
